Jega Hands Over To Mohammed Wali As The New INEC Chairman

The Chairman Of Independent National Electotal Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega had just left office today and handed over to Ambassador Mohammed Wali , the National commissioner from Sokoto State at brief ceremony at the Headquarters.

Prof. Jega succeeded Maurice Iwu upon appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in June, 2010. Mr Jega conducted the 2011 and 2015 general elections. He is also the first INEC chairman to conduct two general elections in Nigeria’s history.
